This review is from: DeWalt DC390N Circular Saw 18 Volt Bare Unit DEWDC390N (Misc.) this item is very good value if you buy it as a bare unit. i did because i could get compatible batteries 3 amp hours for �45 on here it is robust, versatile, well shaped to hold comfortably and has plenty of power for cutting because it is a battery powered saw i feel if you had lots of cutting to do it would ware your batteries down quickly if you are using it for ease of access and freedom it is perfect. no leads to drag around or snag on your work i will try it out on a bigger project soon as so far i have been very impressed with it's quality and ability to do what i have needed Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you?  Report abuse | Permalink   Comment Great cordless saw, 9 May 2012 By  seamusm - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) I've always felt uncomfortable using power saws around cables, and with a circular saw there is also the practical difficulty of cutting a long piece of wood such as a sheet of ply. This saw solves both of these and does a fine job. Only used it so far for simple DIY but works well. Chews up batteries, so would be an issue if using all day off site, but if that is your trade then I imagine you've got some more substantial kit. DeWalt are a fantastic make - you cant really go too wrong. This is certainly powerful enough for most general jobs and its portability and light weight are very useful indeed.
